MS. PADASSERY'S CLASS
Disco Dance
On Friday, November 29th we had a Disco Dance to raise funds for the Philippines because there had been a terrible typhoon there. The Typhoon killed over 5000 people and thousands are now homeless. It is the worst storm like this that has hit planet Earth.
When I entered the gym for the dance, all the lights were off and only disco lights were on. The music was loud and I could see and hear people dancing. I felt like I just wanted to jump in and dance! It was dark and S., S., and I were playing dance tag.
Also, S., S. and I put two dollars in for the raffle. In the middle of the dance, some children's names were chosen as winners of the raffle. Other names were chosen at the end of the dance. I was chosen! And so was my brother T! I won a fluffy toy worm and my brother got a bouncy ball! That was the best dance ever!!

Ancient China Museum
Our class had an Ancient China Museum last month. At the museum my subject was silk, an invention of the Ancient Chinese. When my mom arrived she was amazed at our classroom and so proud of me! We displayed our Chinese clay dragons and had lots of visitors from Grades 1 to 6. I think the students learned a lot of information about Ancient Chinese inventions from our outstanding museum!! To celebrate, students brought Chinese food and we got to use chopsticks for the first time. I hope we can have another museum like this again!
