BOYS BASKETBALL
The Boys Basketball tryouts for both Grade 4/5 and Grade 6 Boys have taken place. Boys who make the Basketball Team will practise on a regular basis on Tuesdays @ 3:15 p.m. and Thursdays @ 7:30 a.m.

HOCKEY
The Brown School Hockey team participated in the UCC U12 Hockey Tournament on Friday, January 9 and Saturday, January 10 2015. The team played 3 great games on Friday which included a big win against Crestwood and an extremely close loss by a score of 3-2 to Lower Canada College. The team went into Saturday's games with high spirits and a great attitude, so much so that opposing coaches were complimenting the Brown P.S. team for showing great team spirit.
At the conclusion of the tournament the team played 5 games and are now ready to tackle the rest of their regular season schedule. Next up...Rosedale P.S. on January 21st @ Forest Hill Arena.

JUNIOR SWIM 2015
There has been a great deal of excitement about this year's Junior Swim Team and we can't wait to get started. Here is a brief timeline/summary of what to expect over the month of January down by the Pool.
Week 1: Jan 5-9 -Sign-up is open to all students from Grades 4-6
Week 2: Jan 12-16th - Timing begins! Mr. D will be timing Freestyle & Back Crawl for all students who have signed up during their scheduled class time. (Those who have not signed up, will be working with Shawn at the other side of the Pool)
Week 3: Jan 19-22 -Timing continues with students. The focus is now on Speciality Strokes (Breast Stroke / Butterfly)
*Please note: the Pool will be open Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays at Lunch for Junior students who wish to get extra workouts/tips from Coaches.
We anticipate our Final Swim Team List to be posted by the end of January. Good luck!

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL
The Grade 4/5 and Grade 6 Girls Volleyball tryouts will take place during the week of January 12. There will be an after school tryout for Grade 6 hopefuls on Tuesday and a Grade 4/5 tryout on Wednesday. Both tryouts will end by 4:30 p.m. There might be a secondary tryout for a short list of players on Friday morning starting at 7:30 a.m. Information about this will be posted on the sports' bulletin board by Wednesday after the Grade 4/5 tryout. We anticipate a full team list to be up by January 19.
