POLICE CHECKS

We would like to remind you that if you would like to be a volunteer at the school you must complete the Police Reference Check form along with a $20 cheque payable to Brown Public School.

Please come to the office to pick up a form for completion and give it to Lily McMillan in the office for submission.

TERRY FOX

We will be walking around our back field Monday morning. Please make sure your child(ren) is wearing running shoes, a hat and sunscreen! A bottle of water would be great too!

SOFTBALL NEWS

Arianna Silecky and Alexandra Gazzarusso are coaching Grades 5/6 Girls' Softball! The tournament date is to be determined; however we do know it will be played prior to October 16th. We will definitely be looking for parent volunteers to drive and cheer us on for the day!

TOQUE TABLE

Keep your heads warm while looking great!  Our Panthers know how to rock (or should I say "roar") their school spirit so for everyone who was disappointed at missing out on our new toques now is your chance to get one.  We will be hosting a "Toque Table" Thursday, Oct 8, 2015 between 2:45-4:15pm.  We will be located by the baseball cage or inside by the front office if it is raining.  Toques are $25, (cash only please).

SCHOOL SAFETY

Every school in the TDSB must conduct 6 Fire Drills and 2 Lockdown Drills each school year. Teachers have been speaking with their students about the reasons for the drills, how to do them and about their importance. We have already completed 2 of our Fire Drills and our first Lockdown Drill. The Fire Department chiefs came to observe one of our drills and let us know that our staff and students did a wonderful job. They exited the building quickly and calmly and waited patiently for instruction.

We will have one more Fire Drill this Fall and then 3 Fire Drills and 1 more Lockdown Drill in the Spring.

We are so proud of the way our Panthers handled themselves in these situations.
