WARM CLOTHING DRIVE

Winter is here! We are collecting gently used winter clothing (mittens, hats, gloves, boots, jackets, snow pants) from January 18-25.  We will put bins in front of the office to collect the clothing.  Clothing will be donated to one of our sister schools to help TDSB students in need.

JUNIOR SWIM TEAM

We are happy to announce, after a brief delay, our pool is up and ready to go! A sign-up was scheduled this week in the gym.

Our team is open for all students in Grades 4, 5 and 6 to try out, starting the week of January 18th. We will begin timing students, during their scheduled swim classes, starting with Freestyle. Timing will take approximately two weeks.

Please note, the pool will be open Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays at lunch for junior students who wish to prepare for their upcoming tryout. Students will be timed in all four strokes including Butterfly. A final team list will be posted at the end of January.

Best of Luck & Go Panthers!

GARDEN FETE

Garden Fete, Brown's Spring Funfair, happens at the end of May. It is a great school event of carnival games, crafts, treats, an organic BBQ, photo booth, stage performances and so much more.

Hopefully by now you have received an email from your class parent asking for Garden Fete Committee volunteers. Since this email was sent out, a few positions have already been filled. Don't miss out on an opportunity to make this year's Garden Fete the best ever!

Volunteer TODAY by contacting Martha McCall, Parent Council Volunteer Coordinator, at mccall.marthae@gmail.com.

Positions still to be filled include:
- Chair of Marketing and Communications
- Chair of Supplies and Decor
- Co-chair of Parent Volunteers
- Chair of Loot Bags

Our first committee meeting will be February 2nd at 7:00 pm. Please contact Martha for further information.
