LICE
We thank our Parent Council for paying for our second lice check
of the school year. If you were notified that your child does have lice
we ask that you treat it and rid of all of the lice and any present
eggs. If you are uncomfortable doing this, please call The Lice Crew at 416-781- 4545 and they can do this for you for a fee.

STAFF UPDATE
As
many of you probably know Mme Gagnon and Mr. S are away from school as
they are on leave. While we wish them well and a speedy return, we are
excited to welcome Ms. Creedon to the Library and Mr. Mio to the Gym and Media program.

PARENT COUNCIL UPDATE
LICE CHECK
On Tuesday January 24th, we brought The Lice Crew to the school to perform lice prevention checks on the students. This important service is provided 3 times per year and is funded by Brown School Parent Council.
The Parent Council raises the money to provide these services through
various fundraising initiatives throughout the year. We thank all Brown
School parents for their time and generous donations!
SKATING PARTY Parent Council is hosting a Valentine's Skating Party on Sunday February 12th, 4-6pm, at Ramsden Park 1020 Yonge Street (just by Rosedale subway station). Grab your friends, bring your skates and come out for a fun night of skating in the neighbourhood. Hot chocolate and treats will be provided! This is a free event and everyone is welcome! |

Litterless lunch & snack containers
This year the Eco Committee is partnering with NoPlastic.ca a retailer of non-plastic, BPA free food containers and kitchen products that are perfect for litterless lunches and snacks.

Once the fundraising campaign concludes, all purchased items
will be shipped to the school and then the Eco Committee will distribute
them via your child's backpack.

JUNIOR CHOIR
The Junior Choir will be participating in the TDSB Music Festival on Wednesday, February 1 at 12:30pm at the Bickford Centre, 777 Bloor St W, Toronto, ON M6G 1L6. The closest subway station is Christie.

KISS AND RIDE
Please keep the following in mind during morning drop-off:
This is a gentle reminder that Kiss & Ride is a
drop off zone, on Poplar Plains Road, for students grades 1-6 only.
Kindergarten children must be walked to their classrooms.
This program is staffed completely by Brown parent volunteers, from 8:25-8:40am.
