There seem to be a number of students who are selling items in the hallway in front of the office. While it is great to see the initiative that these students are taking to sell Girl Guide cookies and homemade items to support various causes - we can no longer continue this practice. There are a number of inequities in allowing students to sell their items, and there are concerns about students carrying around money before and after their sales.

Just one week remains before Brown's biggest fundraiser of the year!

BABYSITTING SERVICE AVAILABLE FOR FALL FLING!
Unicorn Daycare will open a limited number of spots at its Dupont location (Church of the Messiah, 240 Avenue Road, Second Floor) for the evening of the Fall Fling (6:30 pm-9:30 pm) at a flat rate of $20.

ECO COMMITTEE UPDATE
Trashy Tuesday is next week! Please meet us after school in the Primary Children's yard where we will be handing out blue gloves and garbage bags to children and parents! Let's clean up Brown! Last month almost half of the garbage we picked up was granola bar wrappers!
Litterless Lunch - Every week our Litterless Lunch Guru and Brown School parent Aviva Wittenberg offers fantastic tips on how to combat litter in your child's lunch. Read here for her recipe for Energy Balls (a great alternative to granola bars!).
Walk to School Wednesdays! - Rain or shine walking, busing, biking, or boarding is best! This Wednesday we had a lot of fun walking! We caught lots of raindrops on our tongues, we splashed in puddles, and we revelled in the downpour! Make it fun! What's good for our bodies is good for our environment!
Healthy Schools Initiative - Brown School is officially registered to gain Healthy School Certification. We need your help! We need more volunteers to build our healthy schools community.
