News from around Brown - May 2015

DANCE PERFORMANCES
There was a fun and successful sharing of dance performances by students from Mr. Abdelsayed, Ms. Bulfon, Ms. Mankiewicz, Ms. Pulver, Ms. Severino, Mr. Pare and Mme. Breslin's classes on May 14th.

BOOK FAIR
We had a successful Scholastic Book Fair at Brown this past week. What a great way to promote reading to our students while supporting this important literary event.

Students and parents were invited to participate by purchasing the latest and greatest in children’s books. Your support of this vital literary event is a key part of helping us obtain new books and resources for our library and classrooms.

WORLD CHANGERS UPDATE
World Changers would like to thank the Brown School community for its terrific support of our Eve La Chèvre campaign initiatives aimed at supplying goats to families in need in developing countries. Our two movie nights in April were a huge success and collected over $2000!

Friday May 8 was Toonie Twin Day - an initiative raising funds for relief efforts in Nepal. We also had a thank you assembly for the clothing drive that we did last winter hosted by Help Us Help the Children and Ms. Silecky.

Stay tuned for more information but we are hoping to do another fundraiser to support the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation later this month or early in June. Details to follow!

As always, if you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact co-chairs Allison Fortier <allisonfortier@rogers.com> or Laura Finch <laura.finch@me.com>.
