We made it into the second month of the school year!
The Fall Fling committee has kicked into high gear, collecting silent auction donations, starting art projects and selling tickets. Mark your calendars for Thursday, November 7th. The Fling is a fantastic event and greatly benefits the school by raising funds which help to enrich the classroom experience for our children. Thank you to Martha McCall and the rest of the Fling Dream Team for putting in so much time and energy into this eagerly awaited event.
Thank you to Kelly Trainor and all the parents who helped out with baking and came out to welcome new parents at the New Parent Breakfast. Thank you to Peter and his team for setting up the gym and to all the teachers who joined us as well.
The After 4 program started this week and the programs look fantastic. Thank you to Kelly Trainor for pulling it together. Chess started last week and the enrolment is very strong. Thanks to Judy-Ann Bunn who makes this program happen.
Class reps are almost all in place, thanks to Mary Ann Stewart. Class reps play an important role at Brown and we welcome all of your volunteer efforts. A special thank you to our Communications team who continue to keep the website, the Bulletin, and the email blasts running like clockwork. Pizza lunch and milk is starting this month; thanks Marie Claude Sutton!
Then there are lice checks, Kiss 'n Ride, QSP; the volunteer contributions are outstanding and impressive. If you want to find out more about Parent Council, please come to our next meeting, which will take place on Thursday, October 17th at 7:00 p.m., in the Library. Childcare will be provided. All parents/caregivers are welcome.
